Dr. Karin Jacobs received a women in science award in the category: best emerging young female scientist. She received the award at a glamorous event hosted by L'oreal South Africa and the Department of Science and Technology at the Hilton (Sandton) on Saturday, 13 August. The value of the award is R50 000.
